Beating breast cancer.

What was one of the happiest moments of your life so far?
Hard to name one. When I married my best friend. This is where most of it began.

Looking back on your life, what’s a lesson you’ve learned that has stayed with you?
Never judge a book by its cover. You have no idea what is inside that book.

What is your favorite trait about yourself?
I’m a loyal, reliable person.

Your Thoughts on Aging:

Are there any myths you would like to bust about being over 40, 50, 60 or 70?
You don’t need to grow old gracefully. You do you.

Future Aspirations:

What’s one thing on your bucket list that you’re determined to accomplish and what’s your favorite thing you’ve checked off?
I want to travel the United States.

What is the one piece of advice you would give your 20 something self?
Don’t be so hard on yourself. Take time for yourself.

What’s something that always makes you laugh, no matter how many times you hear or see it?
My fur baby, Olive.

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?
My family. I also enjoy cooking.

Women over 40+ just have a better sense of who they are and what they want. It’s not about impressing everyone else anymore. It’s about loving and liking you.

How did the photoshoot make you feel during and after the session?
I felt so special, like a queen. I had so much fun!

How did this portrait experience change the way you see yourself?
I can be pretty.
