My move from the Bay Area marked a career change from 16 years in Semiconductor Marketing Communications to real estate. Despite the initial difficulties, the outcome has been incredibly rewarding.

There’s nothing that makes me happier than the time I spend with my five grandchildren.
Looking back on your life, what’s a lesson you’ve learned that has stayed with you?
I always listen to my gut feeling, and it has always guided me correctly.
When in your life, so far, have you felt most confident and why?
Entering my 40s, I felt a surge of confidence in my intelligence and the belief that I could do anything I chose.

Your Thoughts on Aging:
Are there any myths you would like to bust about being over 40, 50, 60 or 70?
Don’t let the number of years define your limits. Pursue your passions regardless of age. I’m proof that the spirit stays young.
How has turning 40, 50, 60 or 70 changed your outlook on life?
At 40, I experienced a newfound sense of control over my life’s path. I recognized my intelligence and felt empowered to pursue any goal I desired.
How do you embrace the changes that come with getting older?
Change is a given. Instead of resisting what’s coming, try to approach it with an open mind, as adaptation can lead to positive results.
What are some of the things you enjoy now that you might not have appreciated in the past?
I’m finding great satisfaction in working on my home and accomplishing projects I once deemed impossible. It’s really allowing my love for home decor and my design instincts to flourish.
Future Aspirations:
What’s one thing on your bucket list that you’re determined to accomplish and what’s your favorite thing you’ve checked off?
My dream trip would start with a visit to Italy to see my cousins after all these years – it’s been since I was ten! Then, I’d love to explore Greece, Paris, Spain, and Amsterdam. Speaking of dreams, I was so happy to finally visit the Bahamas and cross it off my bucket list.
What does it mean to you to live fully at this stage of life?
Given the brevity of life, embrace it with passion and enthusiastic gusto.

When life hands you difficulties, meet them head-on with the strength and roar of a warrior.
